We don’t often do period-correct bikes, but this one is something special.
This bike is for hard riding, and has been specifically built for L’Eroica rides like the Noosa Strade Bianche. With a full Dura-Ace groupset and original wheelset, this bike will win both Concours and Gran Fondos.
The frame is a 1987 Corsa, serial D-1-C-7913-A. It’s a 61cm, so will suit a tall rider of 190cm or more.
The paint is original but has been restored, with evidence of paint repair to support it’s authenticity. It’s painted in the Team ADR colours and presents as immaculate.
The groupset is Shimano Dura-Ace 7400, with 7700 9-speed shifters. Seatpost, stem, brakes, front and rear derailleur, crankset – all have been fully restored by Cyclo Retro and have a bright polish finish. The shifters are brand new (NOS) and the cassette is a modern 12-25 Hyperglide with KMC X-series chain.
The saddle is a NOS Selle Italia Turbo in white leather.
The wheelset is original DA-7400 with the very rare Mavic SUP Ceramic rims, fitted with new Vittoria Corsa ragwall tyres.
The bike was completed in the winter of 2022, and sold immediately to a US collector.
